An excellent commentary by Torrey Snow, who has been a fine addition to The Sun’s staff! (“Last thing Maryland needs is Wes Moore’s redistricting commission,” Nov. 5)

If Gov. Wes Moore wants a “fair map,” which, to be truthful, he doesn’t, the split of congresspeople in the state should be five Democrats to three Republicans — not seven to one… or eight to zero, which he would like as a résumé builder to counter California Governor Gavin Newsom. Mr. Moore’s bigger problem is his mismanagement of the state government, evidenced by his mishandling of DJS, DHS, the budget, transportation, not to mention a complete lack of interest in Maryland’s energy issues.

But he is photogenic and a smooth operator, which unfortunately carries a lot of weight with today’s uninformed voters.
