Congressional Democrats must stand firm in this government shutdown (“Trump says he ‘won’t be extorted’ by Democrats, shuns negotiations as shutdown drags on,” Nov. 2). They should not become complicit in the pain, misery, and death that will result if millions of Americans lose health care. We are all counting on them. Republican politicians, unfortunately, serve only one man.
