While the recent exchange of hostages engineered by the Trump administration is to be commended, I wonder how the bombing of boats in the Caribbean (killing 32 people so far) under the pretext that they were carrying drugs with no proof provided will look to the Nobel Peace Prize committee next year (“Trump confirms the CIA is conducting covert operations inside Venezuela,” Oct. 15).

That’s in addition to President Donald Trump sending troops to American cities to quell non-existent rioting and to threaten military takeover of Greenland, Panama and Canada and finally, to change the name of the U.S. Department of Defense to the War Department.

Trump is as deserving of the Nobel Peace Prize as he would be of “Honest Golfer of the Year.”
