Volunteers work to setup the Vietnam Traveling Memorial Wall at New Windsor Fire Department carnival grounds on Wednesday.
The Wall officially opens to the public today at 6pm after an opening ceremony featuring Col. Harvey Barnum, Jr. USMC (Ret) and Medal of Honor Recipient • Lt. Colonel Oliver North, USMC (Ret.). Special events; Friday at 6:00pm, Agent Orange Awareness Night, Saturday at 10:00am, Huey Fly In & Landing, (rain date Sunday, October 12th) and at 6:00pm, POW/MIA Remembrance Night. Sunday October 12 at 6:00pm is the Closing Ceremony. The Wall will remain open 24 hours/day from 6:00pm, Thursday, October 9th to Monday, October 13th at 11:00am.
