Mike Klingaman writes human-interest stories and historical profiles on people and places from Baltimore's past. A Sun reporter for 54 years, he has won national awards for sports writing and was a finalist for a Pulitzer Prize in 1985. A native of Catonsville, he attended West Virginia University and graduate school at Syracuse University.
