Ayanna Alexander

Ayanna Alexander is the deputy politics editor at The Baltimore Sun. She is a former member of the democracy team at The Associated Press, where she covered race and voting rights for three years, expanding coverage to include voters with disabilities. Before that, she covered multiple beats at Bloomberg Law for four years: general assignment, health technology, and social justice. This included spearheading Bloomberg Law's coverage of the trial of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin. Ayanna is a graduate of Howard University.
