New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani has announced he will have veteran civil servant Dean Fuleihan, 74, serve as his first deputy mayor. Fuleihan served in former Democratic Mayor Bill de Blasio’s administration and oversaw the budget. Mamdani also named Elle Bisgaard-Church, a member of the Democratic Socialists of America, as his chief of staff.
